Gracie’s Mommy’s Prayer

I’ve been thinking about this and I hope Gracie’s Mommy doesn’t mind but I decided to make this it’s own post.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank you for my sisters, for their faith, and for your Word which has authority over everything! We come before you Father, and bring our sister Sasha, her love Sean, and these precious babies. First of all Father, we stand in agreement, according to your word, which says whatsoever things we ask in agreement will be done that you may be glorified in your Son. Next, Father, We claim your promise in Isaiah that “no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that accuses them in judgement they (Sasha & Sean) will condemn, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, their vindication is from HIM!” Father, vindicate our sister with this uncircumcised philestine of a foster parent! Shut her mouth, pull her teeth so that roaring lion has no bite, take away forever the power she is attempting to misuse, and cover our children with a hedge of protection while you do it, please. Remove her from any authority, and position of inequity, please, Lord! We come to you now, Lord, and claim your promise in Matthew 18:18 that says, “whatsoever things you shall bind in heaven shall be bound on earth and whatsoever things you shall loose in heaven shall be loosed on earth.” We bind you satan, we tie you and any evil influence you have on anyone involved in this with the ropes of God’s Word; you cannot stop, thwart, hinder, invade or confuse this process in any way, In the Name of Jesus! and we unleash, we loose the hosts of heaven, the angels to intercede in every area in this circumstance. We loose financial ability for Sasha and Sean, we thank you for strength: physical, spiritual emotional and mental for Sasha and Sean. We thank you for sending your undeniable word to each child’s heart so that they will know without a shadow of a doubt that they are loved, that they are wanted and that their aunt is fighting for them. Speak to them of the love Sasha has for them in their dreams. Lord, you said that whatsoever things we ask in your name, it will be done that the Father may be glorified in the Son. We stand on your word. We ask that you shuffle the paperwork so this is expedited. Vex every adult’s heart with this circumstance so that they cannot eat, sleep, think or efen watch television until their portion in the expedition process is done. We believe your promises, you said you watch over your word to perform it. We know that you said your word is settled in the heavens forever. We receive that all your promises are “yea and amen: yes and so be it!” We receive your protection, we receive your intervention, we receive this victory NOW in Jesus’ name, because you promised it.And all my sisters said…”Amen!”

Little Miss Purries…

is growing up… I told my mom I would post current pics of Purries. She got a cortisone shot when I took her in for her annual shots. The vet suggested it because of her allergies. She was ripping her eyes and her chin by scratching them so hard.

So without further ado, here she is… the shitlet.

It’s hailing now!

Whoo hoo! It snowed like 5 times earlier this morning and then it all melted away. Now it’s hailing! Here’s some pics!

It’s snowing!!! It’s not sticking but it’s beautiful and noiseless and serene. I love it!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

I’ve been in my kitchen baking all day. I had this brilliant idea to make green cupcakes. I put food coloring in the cake mix. So if these look off, it’s because they are a pastel/mint green color.

Then I decided I should frost them green so I put food coloring in the icing.

Then I had another idea to create my own shamrock stencil and use green sugar to put shamrocks on them. So now I have two dozen greener than green cupcakes with no one to really eat them. That’ll change when the kids come.

You might be wondering what this is down here… well, I didn’t realize for high altitudes that the cake mix only uses egg whites. Soooo… I had a lime recipe that uses only egg yolks. What this is basically, is a square key lime pie with pistachios in the crust. I got it from Martha Stewart’s Everyday Foods Magazine. It has to cool before I can chill it so it will set. I hope it’s yummy. It was pretty easy to make. After it’s chilled I’m supposed to be able to use the paper hanging over to lift it out and cut it into squares.

More Progress

I’ve started to work on the baby blanket that goes with the bonnet and booties. Here are some of the grannie squares I’ve completed. The little yellow and pink star like things are the popcorn flowers that go in the middle. For some reason instead of doing the whole square at once, I like to do stages.

I really like the way these squares are turning out. My gauge is good and I seem to have this pat down. I’m definitely going to redo the bonnet. I sort of like the popcorn technique.

I’ve done some work on the Care Bear blanket but haven’t taken any pictures of it. Ethanael’s blanket still awaits my return…

Progress…

Here is Sean’s scarf. I finished the first skein and the length isn’t that impressive considering he wants it long. I added just about 100 more rows. It totally sucked because I found a mistake about 5 rows down and ended up taking out 40 rows trying to figure out how to fix the damn thing.

This picture down here is of my third attempt at adding the new ball of yarn. I had to pull the sucker out and restart. It was beyond frustrating and I had a few choice words about knitting in general. I guess when you’re teaching yourself out of a crappy book, you get what you pay for. Although, I bought a new book that’s pretty cool. It actually has real pictures, hence the job I’m showing below.

I had ran into a problem of having a segment of yarn that was loose and didn’t seem to be in the right space, which is the reason why I pulled it out to begin with. I just did a little secret something to make it disappear and I am going on my way like nothing’s wrong. Since it doesn’t look like it anymore. If it happens again, I’m going to take a picture so maybe some one out there can tell me what I am doing wrong.

At least I hope that’s right being as I don’t have any other examples. In the midst of my frustration, Sean told me to just pull the whole thing out and crochet it.
I didn’t even look at him. Only I could suggest and do such a thing, not him. lol I’m worried I didn’t buy enough yarn. At least it’s not dye lotted or anything.

We are on a roll…

I just got a call from Sean’s home care people. We are supposed to be re-evaluated every year by the state to see if he is still eligible. I was worrying about this too because I hadn’t heard anything.

There’s this story about a woman who cries for her children by a river in Arizona. I’m sure there are variations of all this every where but they say that at night she does this and that she paces by the river. For several weeks, I’ve been up with insomnia and I walk my house in the dark. I’m reminded of that story just because I’m walking around my house in the dark and worrying about all these things. I don’t want to wake Sean up or have him worry. So I just go from room to room in the dark for hours thinking about all the stuff that needs to be done. All the stuff that’s hanging. Then at some point,I end up scaring the hell out of myself because I’ll go back to other stories I’ve heard to try and clear my mind. I know the stories are fake but at some point between worry and exhaustion my mind starts playing tricks with me. What a dork huh?

I’m tired of being tired….and cold. I’m anemic. I think it’s been really bad lately. I made the decision three days ago to start taking my iron again. I take it in the morning before I talk myself out of it. I saw my eyes in the mirror the other day. The circles used to be pretty dark. They are now officially black. Literally. I looked like I had two black eyes or that I was recovering from them. I asked Sean if they were always this dark. He said he thought so, but I know they weren’t. I’ve also been drinking at least 32 ozs a day. Mainly, gatorade because it’s easy to keep track of. Plus it’s supposed to have crap in it, you know? hehe In fact, the past couple of days, I’ve eaten a couple of oranges and grapes and I’ve made salads for dinner. My body must need something badly. It’s trying to compensate or something.

Oh yeah, I felt sooo bad for Sean. Well…not really but sorta… he’s irish. So today would be a corned beef thingy, the cabbage stuff and the bread and all that…but because of Lent, no meat. He was crushed. I think we are going to make it Sunday though.

Oh and the mom thing. The reason I made such a big deal about it is because he can act like he’s perfect and well you know how men are. It was a slip up and I caught it and I had to rub it in. I’m constantly saying and doing stupid things. He calls me out every freaking time constantly. I sensed that to him this was a big slip up that embarrassed him so it was MY turn to get him back. It could have been any topic as long as it was a slip up…lol

It’s done…

The paperwork is done and in the mail. Today the mail person will pick it up and take it away. Sean’s fingerprints are still MIA. I’m a little upset about that because I keep telling them we can just go get them done again and they keep insisting that we don’t. I was told that it can take 5-10 days to process. This if they don’t have to send them to the FBI. Then it will take longer.

Part of me wants to strangle these people and say HELLO??? Do you know how long that is?? Do you know how long they’ve been separated? Do you know it’s a bad situation?? Each day makes it worse…

It wouldn’t be as bad if all the kids were in good homes but they aren’t. That’s what makes it worse.

That and the fact that I know these people are really working for us out here in NM. I know this is going a lot faster than most and I feel like I should push and I also feel like I shouldn’t. I know in my heart that these people are really pushing this. I know they are working hard and trying to get this completed. I don’t want to upset anyone or belittle what a tremendous job they are doing out here.

But in the back of my mind, I hear my mom’s voice and I know my past of letting things go and it’s just so important this time. All I can do is listen to my inner voice and trust that it will make the right decisions even if my mom wouldn’t agree with that. I guess in my mind there is a difference between the squeaky wheel and a broken wheel. I don’t want to push my luck and I don’t feel a pressing to push just yet. It’s in God’s hands and I know I have to meet him at least half way. But I guess at this point it’s a matter of quieting my mom’s voice in my head. (I hope this makes sense and I’m not coming off as crazy)

I just got a call from the homestudy lady…they found Sean’s prints they are on the way to the place to be analyzed. The lady said all she needs is our paperwork and in the meantime she is going to just submit that the first were sent back because of Sean’s condition and that the second are in process. She said they would accept that.

*phew* Thank you God. Here I was struggling with all this and feeling just awful about the prints and not knowing what to do and he drops the answer at my feet and reassures me I’ve been doing the right things this far. The wheels are rolling… this is the first step, to hear back from the homestudy lady, the fingerprint lady promised me she would call me when she recieved them, so that’s the second in a line of events that have been set up by me so that I can make sure things are going right. I should also hear from the homestudy lady again, as I put a note in for her to call me to confirm she’s received the paperwork. If I don’t hear from the fingerprint lady, I am calling her Wednesday. At that point, if she hasn’t recieved them, she can at least look them up and tell me if someone else is processing them. We appear to be on track again.

I am still praying for the end of this month beginning of next month. It seems so short and so long. But so right. It’s in my heart and I know I shouldn’t doubt but it’s still there.

“Little Angels”

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above We mortals sometime question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache compares with, the death of one small child Who does so much to make our world, seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold. So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but few To make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try. The saddest word mankind knows will always be “Goodbye” So when a little child departs, we who are left behind, Must realize God loves children “Angels are had to find”.
